Quick help
No alarm sound
Check the selected sound, device volume, notification permission, Focus settings, and whether the alarm still appears in the app.
Pro access missing
Confirm the Apple account used for purchase, connect to the internet, then use Restore Purchases.
Weather not shown
Enable Weather in the app and allow location access. Approximate location is sufficient.
Calendar unavailable
Allow Calendar access in iOS Settings, then return to the app and reconnect the feature.
Purchases and subscriptions
Restore Purchases
- Use the same Apple account that made the purchase.
- Connect the device to the internet.
- Open Settings in Pocket Chime Alerm and choose Restore Purchases.
- Wait for the confirmation, then reopen the paid feature.
Reinstalling the app does not create a new purchase. Restoration can only recover purchases that Apple reports for the signed-in Apple account.
Manage Subscriptions
View, change, or cancel an auto-renewing plan from Apple's Manage Subscriptions page. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple also handles billing and refund requests.
Weather
If weather is enabled but no conditions appear:
- Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
- Choose Pocket Chime Alerm and allow location while using the app. Precise Location is not required.
- Confirm the device has a network connection.
- Return to the app, turn Weather off and on once, then wait for a fresh request.
Weather depends on Apple WeatherKit, location permission, and network availability. A temporary Apple service error can delay an update.
Calendar and Light Check
Calendar
Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and allow Pocket Chime Alerm to access events. The app reads upcoming event context on the device; if the calendar itself is not synced to the phone, it cannot be shown.
Light Check
Light Check needs camera permission while it is running. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and enable Pocket Chime Alerm. Make sure the front camera is uncovered and the room lighting can reach it. The feature calculates brightness on the device and does not save camera images.
Alarms, timers, widgets, and Apple Watch
- After changing an alarm, confirm the next scheduled time shown in the app.
- Keep notification permission enabled and verify the selected sound and device volume.
- For a widget that is slow to update, open the main app once and return to the Home Screen.
- For Apple Watch, confirm the watch is paired, the companion app is installed, and both devices are nearby.
- Restart the app and device after an iOS update if a system alarm or complication remains stale.
